- **Health screening & ultrasound:** medical-grade urine pregnancy testing and the option of a limited first-trimester ultrasound for pregnancy dating.
- **Options discussion:** receive clear, factual information and talk through next steps in a calm, nonjudgmental setting.

- How much does an abortion cost?
Knowing how much an abortion costs depends on the type of procedure and how far along your pregnancy is. **Costs often range from hundreds to thousands of dollars**.
Before moving forward with any abortion decision, it’s important to know how far your pregnancy has progressed. Pregnancy dating is confirmed through an ultrasound at High Desert Women’s Center. While we do not provide or refer for pregnancy terminations, we offer ultrasounds at no cost.
- I’m considering abortion. Should I have an ultrasound?
If you’re considering abortion, many providers recommend confirming pregnancy details with an ultrasound before scheduling care.
An ultrasound helps determine:
- **How far along the pregnancy is:** Pregnancy dating clarifies which abortion methods are available. Cost and medical considerations differ depending on the gestational age of the pregnancy.
- **Whether the pregnancy is progressing:** Ultrasound confirms whether a pregnancy is continuing. Some pregnancies end naturally, and some people do not realize a miscarriage has occurred until it is identified on ultrasound. In these cases, follow-up medical care—not abortion care—is needed.

If you’re feeling pressured, unsupported, or unsure whether this decision truly feels like your own, you’re not alone. Our team provides a confidential, nonjudgmental space to talk through your situation, understand your rights, and feel supported.
